Respect Programme
The Respect Programme enables, promotes and encourages the social, emotional and physical development of children and young people primarily aged 9-19, through support and provision of opportunities promoting young people’s positive contribution to local communities and society as a whole.
The Respect Programme offers sports, positive activities, needs led provision and accredited sessions to deliver social and education opportunities, enabling young people to develop interests, gain qualifications, acquire new skills, build confidence and self esteem. Increasing young people’s capacity to cope with changes in their life, make their own decisions, operate effectively in groups and take a responsible role in the community.
The Respect Programme is a Social Inclusion scheme that is both locally and nationally recognised as delivering on a range of government agendas. The Programme encourages social and personal development, community involvement, healthy lifestyles, participation in physical activity and the enjoyment of education and learning in young people.
Respect delivers the following projects: Up-Front, Positive Futures, Kickz, Start up Sport, vinvolved and Health Promotion Project for 48 weeks of the year.
