What she does:

Sarah started as the Project Manager for the CIP in June 2008 and is responsible for leading the work of the CIP, building relationships with all partners from all sectors and managing the day to day projects. She coordinates and informs the work of the CIP's partners and staff to ensure that everyone is working together towards the Every Child Matters outcomes and that the schools within the CIP are achieving the extended services core offer. Sarah oversees all aspects of the partnership and ensures full consultation and inclusion of all community needs are reflected in the CIP's core priorities and through how it commissions services. She works with a range of organisations to ensure effective signposting takes place and that resources are shared in partnership with other agencies to improve outcomes for the whole community. Sarah also provides the vital link between a range of operation and strategic work both in the local area, schools and within wider city services.

"I have worked in a variety of projects both within the city and in the region, but it was the difference that this role could make to the lives and wellbeing of children and young people in Portsmouth that really interested me in this role. The CIP's have the ability to lay the building blocks for real local partnership working to ensure that all services and organisations are working together to improve opportunities for families in the south east through access to universal and targeted support."
